Focussed on meeting the specific requirements of Welsh dairy and beef farmers, Cogent Cymru has appointed Owain Harries as Regional Sales Manager for Wales.
A dairy farmers son and originally from Cross Hands, welsh speaker Owain has wide experience of the cattle breeding industry having spent the last six years in a number of roles with Cogent.
Operating from premises in Pontypool, Cogent Cymru will supply the full range of services offered by pioneering sexed semen specialists Cogent Breeding, including a range of high quality and effective dairy farming solutions and genetics, reproductive, health and fertility monitoring packages to help improve herd performance.
Services will be delivered by a team of 13 staff including Precision Repro technicians, AI technicians in specific areas, breeding advice experts and an office support team.
Owain Harries comments: "Our priority will be focusing on adding value to existing and new customers' businesses through increased genetic merit of the herd and improved reproductive performance.
