The Cogent Jersey breeding programme is continuing to deliver results with the addition of Dalhem Zodi Helios to the Cogent Stud. We expect him to follow in the successful footsteps of Rivermead Casino Addiction, another graduate of the Cogent Jersey breeding programme.

Cogent has been running a Jersey breeding programme for the last five years, working together with 3 notable farms. The aim of the programme is to produce Jersey bulls to suit both the UK and world market.

Helios is a very promising genomic bull, that is a product of all the hard work we have done with the Dalhem herd in Devon. We have bulls consistently entering the stud from the programme and are expecting two more UK-bred bulls later in the summer.

Sired by the proven Sexing Chrome Zodi, Helios is a high milk, high type bull with an outcross pedigree.

With our 4M Ultraplus HighPurity sexed semen, you can count on the high conception rates and reliability of producing heifer calves to continue to breed successful replacements. The Cogent Beef on Dairy department can also help add value to your herd through their beef sires that have specifically been tested on grazing farms in a drive to find the right genetics to suit the dairy cow.
