Base Change: Understanding the Shift

With the April 2025 proof run, the Council on Dairy Cattle Breeding (CDCB) implemented an industry-wide base change, which happens every five years. This includes recalibrations to TPI® and NM$ formulas to reflect genetic progress across the Holstein breed.
